Allowance is built and operated by Codesmith (CEO Suchan Yoo, Business Registration No. 201-22-94229, Seoul, Republic of Korea). In this document, "Codesmith", "we" and "us" mean Codesmith as the operator of Allowance.
1. The Service
Allowance lets a business and the AI agents it runs make payments on a person's behalf. A person signs a spend mandate; each payment an agent proposes is checked against that mandate and against the task the person delegated, and approved payments are recorded in a ledger. The Service is offered as a remote MCP server, an API and related tools.
The Service is for businesses. By using it, the business you represent ("Customer") agrees to these Terms. If you accept on behalf of a company, you confirm that you can bind it.
2. Mandates and agent payments
You decide who may sign mandates for your account, what each mandate allows, and which agents carry it. You are responsible for the tasks you give your agents and for payments made within a mandate you signed.
The intent check is an automated decision made with a large language model. It can be wrong. It is a safeguard on top of your mandate limits, not a guarantee that a payment is what you wanted. Payments it holds wait for a person; payments it refuses are not made.
Every payment carries an idempotency key, so a retried request is applied at most once.
3. Sandbox
The public sandbox mandate (mdt_sandbox) is for evaluation. No money moves in the sandbox; receipts and ledger entries it returns are test records. Sandbox budgets are kept per session and may be reset at any time.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your business and your payments, for your relationship with the merchants your agents pay, for keeping mandate identifiers and API credentials confidential, and for telling us promptly at hello@codesmith.work if you suspect unauthorized use.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service in violation of any law or sanctions, to pay for goods or services that are illegal where you or the merchant operate, to probe or bypass its security or rate limits, or to interfere with other customers' use of it.
6. Fees
Fees for live use are set in your order form. The sandbox is free.
7. Changes and availability
We improve the Service continuously and may change its features. We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. We will post material changes to these Terms on this page before they take effect.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided as is, and our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. The Seoul Central District Court has jurisdiction over disputes, unless your order form says otherwise.
